Christmas has always been a special holiday for me, but the reason for the season has been pushed around a lot through the years. The reason we even started Christmas was because we wanted to have a special day to celebrate Jesus's birthday. That's why it's called CHRISTmas. The world has slowly pushed the real reason out of the way...That's why my family has chosen to celebrate Jesus on December 25th. While the world is shopping for the best presents, going to all the parties that they can go to, and sitting on Santa's knee, we are remembering what the real meaning of Christmas means and enjoying the joys of Christmas. Don't get me wrong, we do some fun things, but we try to have Jesus in our mind throughout that busy part of the year too. :) We like to enjoy the little things like, listening to Christmas music, wrapping presents, making goodies and taking them to neighbors, going to parties as a family, singing Christmas carols, and re-nacting a 1770's Christmas at a near-by historical site. On our Christmas morning, we get up, look through our stockings, open gifts, have breakfast, and then we go to see my Grandma J (mom's mom). Later in the afternoon we go and see my other Grandma and my dad's brother's family (Uncle Bobby, Aunt Kim, Christopher, and Caroline), we have supper there and open some gifts from each other. We always have a wonderful time and I am very thankful to have those hours together. Merry Christmas Everyone! The Tour of Our House at Christmas...
