Have you noticed that aprons are really coming back in style? Everywhere you look you see new vintage-style hostess/homemaker aprons. I'm the type of girl that really likes aprons and the best part is, they are so easy to sew!
Since I've met so many lovely girls in the "blogging world" that love to sew and make different things, I thought of a little project for all of my blogging readers and anyone else that wants to participate. I'm going to be hosting an apron swap! =)
How to Participate:
1. Everyone that wants to participate must send me an email at practicallypink@gmail.com to let me know. Please email me and include all your measurements, your favorite colors, your mailing address (for your swap partner), and a way to contact you (your email or blog address). Also, please ask your parents for their permission before you sign up for this project if you are under 18 years old.
2. When I receive all the entries from the girls that want to participate, then I will post your assigned apron swap partners for you make aprons for.
3. Once you know who you're making your apron for then you can start shopping for fabric, finding a pattern, and getting all the materials together to start sewing your aprons. You can do full or half aprons for your swap partner, but please make sure you do each others sizes and that you make the apron the colors that your partner likes. Just make the aprons as simple or as detailed as you want. Just make them stylish, fun, cute, and, very much like your swap partner. **You can also buy an apron for your swap partner, if you don't know how to sew or if you don't have the time. You just have to make sure that the apron is something that your swap partner would enjoy. Also, if you know how to sew I would rather you make your apron. ** =)
4. Another fun gesture would be to add a few little kitchen items (or a card) to your package. For example; a wooden spoon, a cute set of potholders, a few of your favorite recipes, tea bags, or anything else that you might want to add. Please don't add anything that will melt, harm, or ruin your apron, though. Please take in consideration of how you would like to be treated if you were to receive the package.
*This isn't required to do in the apron swap, but it might be fun. All that is required is a simple apron with one pocket.
5. When you finish your aprons, then you can email me and I will send you your partner's mailing address for you to send your apron to them. After each of you receive your apron, please send me a picture of it and I'll do a post with all the aprons and who made them, etc. What does that sound like? =)

**The deadline for entering the apron swap is October 5th, 2010 and the deadline for the aprons to be finished is November 15th, 2010. **
So, would you like to participate in my first apron swap? Any questions? Please just contact me!
Have fun entering and please spread the word about it! Have a blessed weekend ladies and thank you for reading Practically Pink. =)

I won't be participating this time...but those are adorable! I'm just learning how to sew them as I plan on opening an Etsy shop soon. Vintage aprons are the cutest kind around. ;)
