Outside my window...It's a beautiful day here in NC! The weather is almost perfect. It's sunny, a little breezy, bright blue sky, and there are even some white fluffy clouds. :D
I am thinking...About what I need to do this week and the rest of this afternoon.
I am thankful for...The simple pleasures of life.
From the learning rooms...Algebra, Science, History, Writing, Reading, and a few more subjects. I have to finish the rest of my school after this post. I'm eating some lunch right now.
From the kitchen...Cinnamon rolls for breakfast, Mckmama's Texas Caviar for lunch, and leftovers for supper.
I am wearing...My blue jean skirt, pink t-shirt, and my silver dangle earrings.
I am creating...Some hats for the kids in Romania and crocheting my little baby blanket.
I am going...To be home for the first part of this week, but we will have a few places to go later in the week. :D
I am reading...My Bible and some required school books.
I am hoping and praying...That this week will be better then last week. Also, that Mom will get better and she can come home on Wednesday. She has been at the hospital since last Wednesday because of her white blood cell count...
I don't know if you know or not, but mom has lung cancer. She has never smoked a day in her life, but both of her parents did when she was little. She had some back pain in January of 2009 and we found out about her lung cancer. She started an oral chemo to kill the cancer and thus it began this long journey for the whole family. We started eating more healthy and trying not to eat sugar. The cancer has shrunk a lot through the year, but we found out a few months ago that the oral chemo drug that she was taking wasn't fighting the cancer like it needed to, so she started the regular chemo about a week ago. Her body has had a problem with this "strange thing" (the chemo) going through her body and it's made her blood count go down to 300 when it should be at 1,000. She is now in the hospital and the doctors and nurses are giving her medicine to bring the blood cells up. She is in the best place right now because if she were home then we couldn't help her very much. She is very weak right now because of the blood count.
Please be praying for strength for the whole family, rest for all of us, and for God to work out all the details that we can't fix by ourselves. We are just resting in His arms right now and hope that He can bring mom's blood count up. Thank you, everyone for praying for her. It means so much to our family when you do. :D
I am hearing...Right now it's really quiet, we have some soft music playing in the background and Andrew is eating his lunch at the kitchen table. It's peaceful and relaxing.
Around the house...Dishes need to be done and the rest of my school needs to be completed after I finish this post.
One of my favorite things...Everything about Fall (except for allergies). :D
A few plans for the rest of the week: School, working on laundry, cleaning the house, and I'm also planning on doing some more sewing.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
