What started out to be a day of going to Moriah’s house to help with some organizing and cleaning, quickly turned out to be a fun filled day with some of my close friends in the area and a very special surprise from a lot of my blogging friends.
It all started when Mrs. Becky, (Moriah’s mom) called Katie last Monday and they talked for a very long time. I thought it was a little suspicious at first, but I really didn’t think much of it until Katie came out of our sunroom (after she stopped talking) and called Andrew out there because “she needed help with some cords or something”?? Go figure. They stayed out in the sunroom for quite a while with the door closed and wouldn’t let me go out there. I thought it was a little odd, but just continued making supper. I knew they were up to something when they came out smiling and laughing, but couldn’t put my finger on what was going on. I even tried asking Daddy if he knew what was going on! Although, I’m afraid he wasn’t much help because he also didn’t know what they were planning at the time. I seriously had NO clue what was going on and they wouldn’t tell me anything.
Let’s just say that it was an extremely long night for me because I really don’t like keeping secrets; especially from my own siblings! We all are very close and most of the time, everyone knows what is going on in each others lives. It’s just how it has always been. We are a very close-knit family and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. =)
I went to bed that night and still had no idea what was going on. The really bad part? It wasn’t any better in the morning, and it kept getting even more strange as the day went by. I was even more confused when we stopped by a local coffee shop in town (on the way to Moriah’s house) and Sarah-Anne and Clark walked out, went to their car, and just decided to get in our van…(it was very strange). *sigh*
We continued on our way to the Moriah’s house and they started telling me that I was going on a trip…apparently to Africa. Yeah, that didn’t sound very convincing, so I was STILL confused. We finally arrived at our destination and everyone was smiling and acting kind of strange when I was around. I knew that something was going to be happening in the next few minutes and I had no idea what it was going to be…
Mrs. Becky told me to go sit on their couch for a minute and make myself comfortable (Sarah-Anne and Moriah went into another room at this point and were working on something). Sooooo, after sitting on the couch for awhile, they told me that I needed to close my eyes and head up stair for a little surprise. (I was actually a little scared at this point) Haha.
I was totally surprised when I opened my eyes to walk into a beautiful “tea room”!!
Moriah (our lovely hostess) had pretty music playing in the background, cookies, popcorn, delicious peach tea, and a bunch of other goodies on the table.
It was so special!
For those of you that don’t know me personally, my favorite tea is “Perfect Peach”… Love, love, love! =)
The table was very pretty, Moriah! Thank you again for all of the hard work you put in to pull the surprise together!
Sweet Moriah… (aka: the hostess of the tea party)
I really thought that was the entire surprise, but once I was pointed in the direction of my chair at the table, I quickly found out that there was more…
I was definitely NOT expecting this next surprise and I seriously had to hold back the tears when I opened “the present” that was placed in front of me on the table. You ready for this? I opened the most beautiful card that said “May He give you peace… {From your Blogger friends}”…
I was completely shocked, surprised, amazed, and comforted. Honestly, I had no words beside, “Oh, my goodness.” I could not believe what I was holding in my hands, and what I found inside was even more amazing…
I found 49 handwritten notes from some of my blogging friends! I can not even try to begin to describe what each of them means to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! I am blessed with so many wonderful young woman in my life and I wish I could give each and every single one of you a hug right now. You will never know what this card truly means to me. It is such a treasure! Every note was is so encouraging, and it really makes me feel loved…
I’m serious. You all definitely know how to make a girl feel special! I am so thankful to have my sisters in Christ (and all of my blogging friends) to support me through this difficult time. =)
I have to give a big shout out to my beautiful blogging friend, Lucia. You are the one that had the idea for the card, put it together, and made it all possible. Thank you so very much, friend!
Lucia sent the card to Moriah a few weeks ago and Sarah-Anne and Moriah decided to put together a tea party, so they could present it to me in person. They wanted it to be really special and didn’t really want to just sent it to me in the mail. I’m so thankful for each of you! All three of you are extremely amazing young woman of God and I am so blessed to be apart of your life. Thank you again for doing this for me. It meant so much and I will never forget it. =)
Thank you to each and every single one of you for putting this card together and for showing me how much you really care about me. I love you all!!
