Christmas Day Highlights {2011}

Yes, I am finally posting these.  How long ago was Christmas?  I’m sorry it took so long to get them up here.  It’s been pretty busy around here as we try to get back into a school routine again.  Oh, and Katie started a new job closer to the house.  Praise!  That’s another post, though. 

Anyway, here are the Christmas pictures!  *sigh*  Such a fun day to look back on…

Oh, and by the way…I took several pictures on Christmas morning, but since we were all in our pj’s… Daddy said he would rather me not post those.  I completely agree.  Ahem…we all looked rough.  (Bed hair, etc.) Hahaha…

BUT!  I took lots of pictures later in the day when we got to grandma’s house, so here is a glimpse of our Christmas afternoon.

The “Crazy Elf”…

Hahaha.  Andrew turned on the ceiling fan for grandma and we (all the ladies) screamed as a little stuffed elf flew to the ground and almost hit us in the head.  Thanks to Uncle Bobby and my dad.  Let’s just say we had a little too much fun that afternoon.  I love my family.  Isn’t my grandma so pretty?  Look at her new stylish scarf!

Christmas Day Highlights!

:: Waking up early to find the rest of the family already in the living room waiting to open our gifts…Oh, and making breakfast with my Daddy.  Just the two of us.  It was fun to say the least.

:: The Pandora Christmas station playing in the background as we opened our gifts.

:: My awesome surprise gift that Daddy bought me… You ready?  An Ipod Touch!!  I was beyond excited.  Oh, and if you play “Words with Friends”, leave me your username and I’ll try and play a game with you.  It’s so much fun!

:: The excitement and smiles that filled the room that morning.  I haven’t seen my family so happy in a long time…

:: All of the amazing gifts we received.  We are so blessed.

:: Visiting my mom’s mom at the nursing home she lives at and opening some gifts with her… She was so excited to see us. 

:: Spending time with family all afternoon at my dad’s mom’s house. 

:: Christmas supper prepared by my awesome grandma.  It was good…like really good.  I wish I had another plate of the awesomeness right now. :)

:: Being surrounded by family that constantly makes me laugh and smile.

:: Wonderful homemade sweet treats and cookies to snack on throughout the day.

:: Singing Christmas carols with the family on the way home that night…and reading the Christmas story before bed.
